Convenor of the student federation from the camp, Nean Armanul

Nean Armanul, the convenor of the student federation from the camp, has taken a pivotal role in leading initiatives and representing the collective voice of the students.

Armanul Haque, the convener of the Dhaka University branch of the Students' Federation, has denied any involvement with the Islami Chhatra Shibir. He stated, "I have no connection with Shibir, nor have I ever had one. I had stated that Shibir was involved in the incident in front of the NTSCB. Shibir responded by calling me a member of their group."

Last Wednesday, during an attack by members of Students for Sovereignty on the indigenous student community in front of the NTSCB in Motijheel, Armanul Haque was accused of being an instigator. This led to speculation that he was a former Shibir associate.

However, Armanul Haque has denied being a former Shibir member, while Muhammad Junayed, the 2015 president of the Shibir's Kutoakhali Union branch in the Chakaria Upazila of Cox's Bazar District, stated that Armanul Haque was a member of Shibir in 2015. He further explained that Armanul Haque was a part of Shibir under his supervision in 2014-15 but was later suspended due to non-compliance with the organization's rules.

SM Farhad, the president of the Dhaka University branch of Shibir, mentioned that many are initially attracted to Shibir's activities at the school level but later depart due to ideological differences, sometimes resulting in the cancellation of their positions. He confirmed that Armanul Haque was briefly associated with Shibir in his area but stated that there has been no connection between Armanul Haque and Shibir at the university level.

Earlier, a verified Facebook account, belonging to Mohammad Ishraq, posted information about Armanul Haque's alleged Shibir association and his father's involvement with Jamaat, which sparked widespread discussions on social media.
