Fire at Phoenix Leather warehouse in Hazaribagh, 12 units are working to control it


A fire has broken out at the Phoenix Leather warehouse in Hazaribagh, and 12 firefighting units are currently working to bring it under control.


The arehouse that caught fire in Hazaribagh, the capital, belongs to a factory named Phoenix Leather. The fire broke out at the warehouse, which stores leather products, at 2:14 PM today, Friday. According to the Fire Service, the warehouse is located on the fifth floor of a seven-story building. As of 4:30 PM, when this report was written, the fire had not yet been brought under control.


Fire Service Headquarters control room officer Rozina Akter told Prothom Alo that 12 units of the fire service are working to control the fire.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hazaribagh Police Station, Saiful Islam, said that the people trapped inside the building have safely evacuated. The fire service is working to bring the fire under control, and it is now largely contained. Police personnel are present at the scene, assisting in the efforts.

One platoon of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) is working to assist in the rescue of those trapped in the warehouse fire.
