"Bombs blocked by Biden are now being delivered to Israel under Trump's orders." |
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has instructed the military to lift the suspension on supplying 2,000-pound bombs to Israel, which had been imposed by former President Joe Biden. According to the Israeli envoy to the U.S., the news was reported on Tuesday by the media outlet Walla News. Additionally, a White House source confirmed the information to Reuters on Saturday.
Previously, Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, without providing much detail: "There are many things Israel wanted and even paid for, but Biden didn’t deliver. Those things are now on the way."
It was anticipated that Trump might take such an initiative. Biden had withheld the supply of these bombs out of concern that Israel could use them against civilians, particularly in Gaza's Rafah city during the ongoing conflict.
Both Biden and Trump have expressed support for Israel. However, after taking the oath of office, Trump stated his intention to work for global peace and the cessation of all wars. Despite this, reports have emerged that he is proceeding to provide Israel with these devastating bombs. In September, during an Israeli military operation in Gaza's Khan Younis Al-Mawasi camp, a 2,000-pound bomb reportedly created a crater 33–50 feet deep.
